How to check if there are students to Allocate to employer

On the Global dashboard the number of Unemployed approved students are displayed.

If you click on the number another screen will open displaying the detail of all these students that can potentially be allocated to employers:

Allocating ANY approved student

  • When you create an Employer you specify the total number of students that the employer want to sponsor in the Total Students Sponsored field.

  • This field can also be updated by editing the employer
  • After updating the field save the employer
  • You can now allocate students by clicking on the Allocate Students button:
  • The system will allocate as many students as you specified in the Total Students Sponsored field (provided that there are enough students available to allocate). Refer to the above to see which students are available to allocate.

Allocate only students that comply with specified conditions

To specify the specific conditions you need to add a new Student Request Profile.

  • Navigate to the employer you wish to allocate students to.
  • Create a new Student Request Profile
  • Specify the number of students that should be allocated as well as the criteria that they must apply to.
  • More than one Student Request Profile can be created for different criteria
  • Ensure that the Total number of students in all the Student Request Profiles is the same as the Total Students Sponsored field specified on the employer
  • You can now allocate students by clicking on the Allocate Students button:
  • The system will allocate as many students as you specified in the student request profiles that comply with the conditions you specified (provided that there are enough students available to allocate).
  • The student request profile will only be indicated as done when the number of allocated student correspond with the number of students requested:
  • When the Allocate Students button: is clicked again at a later stage the system will allocate the available students to the Student Request Profiles that are not marked as done yet.

Combination

When the Total Students Sponsored field specified on the employer is more than the total number of students in all the Student Request Profiles, the system will will allocate to the student request profiles and then allocate the remaining number of students randomly until the Total Students Sponsored are allocated.
